Chairman Hsu Speaks at 2024 ICBA International Conference, NTU
As an outstanding alumnus of National Taipei University, Chairman Hsu has been continuously sponsoring the "ICBA International Conference" hosted by the School of Business since 2022, embodying the spirit of giving back to his alma mater. This sponsorship provides a platform for academic and practical discussions, offering a stage for creativity and presentations. It gives participants the opportunity to face upcoming challenges and issues, and to gain inspiration through discussions, exploring new trends in business management together.
This time, Chairman Hsu, accompanied by his wife participated in the conference and shared the topics of interest for ABC-ATEC this year. During the ICBA conference (on May 10), Chairman Hsu presented a topic titled "Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Under Innovation in AI Flight Controllers." This is not only a key aspect of the company's business but also a critical driver for Taiwan's defense industry.
Chairman Hsu mentioned that the U.S. House of Representatives has introduced the "American Security Drone Act," which bans federal government agencies from using drones made in China. Currently, all states are closely monitoring the progress of this bill, especially in agricultural states, where the bill, related to state economic development, has garnered particular attention. The rapid drive for drone upgrades and development includes: first, improvements in technology and supply chain capabilities; second, upgrades in sensor technology; third, lightweight materials and high-energy lithium-sulfur batteries; and fourth, innovations in AI flight controllers. These factors are collectively driving the rapid development of drone technology, which could bring new opportunities to Taiwan's defense industry.
ABC-ATEC believes that innovations in AI flight controllers will bring revolutionary changes to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). These innovations will not only enhance the performance and efficiency of drones but also bring tremendous potential to Taiwan's defense industry.
