ABC-ATEC Funds E-Commerce Center Relaunch
To promote the industry-academia collaboration project — "Metaverse Concept Application Project" — between ABC-ATEC and the College of Business at National Taipei University, ABC-ATEC funded the renovation of the E-Commerce Research Center. The reopening ceremony of the center was held on the 3rd floor of the College of Business building on June 19, 2024.
The E-Commerce Research Center actively promotes research in areas such as the Metaverse, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and digital transformation. Regarding the center's reopening,ABC-ATEC hopes that the E-Commerce Research Center will effectively integrate the research resources within the College of Business, advancing academic research and the promotion of e-commerce education. Through this center, efforts will be made to support the publication of academic journals, host related academic conferences, and assist in the development of e-commerce credit programs at both the master’s and bachelor’s levels. The center is envisioned as a platform to inspire innovation, drive academic research, and cultivate future leaders.
In 2022, ABC-ATEC and the College of Business at National Taipei University launched an industry-academia collaboration project—the “Metaverse Concept Application Project.” Together, they conducted preliminary research on the Metaverse market and the development of new business opportunities. As of 2024, the collaboration has resulted in three major initiatives: the 5G Campus Private Network Deployment Plan, the Grand Metaverse Value Community Project, and the Multimodal Cross-Lingual Task-Oriented Dialogue System for the Metaverse AI. These projects represent the continued advancement of ABC-ATEC’s industrial development and National Taipei University’s scientific research.
Lastly, the Chairman expressed the hope that, under the concept of the Metaverse, users can freely navigate between the virtual and real worlds through the HR Headset—enhanced by the power of AI and the wonders of 3D virtual reality—toward a realm of “infinite XR possibilities.” He firmly believes that through collective unity, significant contributions can be made to Taiwan’s e-commerce industry. ABC-ATEC looks forward to working with National Taipei University to shape a new future for e-commerce.
