ATEC continues to advance its energy transition and carbon reduction efforts by investing over NT$10 million in the installation of a solar photovoltaic system at its Taiwan headquarters, which officially launched in late April 2025. The rooftop solar system has a total installed capacity of 244 kWp and is expected to generate approximately 240,000 kWh of electricity annually, resulting in an estimated annual carbon reduction of around 120 metric tons of CO₂e. All electricity generated will be used for the company’s own operations, not only improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions, but also providing added benefits such as rooftop insulation, cooling, energy savings, extended roof lifespan, and enhanced space utilization.
According to historical carbon inventory results, ATEC Group’s carbon emissions are primarily concentrated in Scope 2 electricity usage, accounting for over 70% of total emissions. To actively address the challenges of climate change, ATEC launched an energy transition and carbon reduction initiative in 2023, promoting renewable energy and expanding its green power deployment. The Group is committed to achieving its medium- to long-term net-zero emission goals by reducing reliance on traditional energy sources, and demonstrating a firm commitment to environmental sustainability.
ATEC’s green energy deployment began at Guangzhou factory, which took the lead in signing a green power purchase agreement and officially began using green electricity in May 2023. In 2024, the factory further completed the installation of a solar power self-generation system. Subsequent expansions include the launch of solar power systems at the Malaysia factory in November 2024 and the Taiwan factory in April 2025.
As of the end of 2024, ATEC Group total annual green electricity usage reached 2.51 million kWh, raising the proportion of green energy to 25% of its total electricity consumption. Chairman Joseph stated, “We recognize that renewable energy has become a key factor in global supply chain competitiveness. Leveraging green energy not only reduces operational risks but also enhances the environmental value of our products and strengthens our international brand image. We believe that true sustainable competitiveness can only be achieved by integrating economic growth with sustainable responsibility.” ATEC will continue tostrengthen its sustainability resilience, steadily advance and fulfill its commitment to sustainable development, and firmly move toward its goal of a 42% carbon reduction by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050, working together with the global community to create a sustainable future.
