ATEC Awarded the Taoyuan 1.5°C Badge for Decarbonization Excellence

ATEC Group has long embedded sustainable development at the core of its corporate strategy. The company continues to advance energy management, process optimization, and equipment upgrades, implementing multiple energy-saving measures to systematically reduce carbon emissions—demonstrating its firm commitment to net-zero transformation. In the second half of 2025, ATEC’s outstanding carbon-reduction achievements earned the company the Taoyuan 1.5°C Climate Badge, jointly promoted by the Taoyuan City Government and CommonWealth Magazine. At the award ceremony held yesterday (November 18), Taoyuan Mayor San-Cheng Chang presented the honor, with Vice Chairperson Dr. Fransis Fan accepting the award on behalf of the company, reaffirming ATEC’s strong dedication to climate action.

As of the end of October 2025, a total of 212 companies headquartered or operating factories in Taoyuan disclosed their data on the platform. Among them, approximately 40%, 85 companies—achieved their temperature control targets. ATEC Group ranked 12th among Taoyuan enterprises, reflecting the company’s outstanding performance in carbon reduction strategy planning, implementation, and results.

Over the years, ATEC Group has been dedicated to energy-saving projects, replacing outdated air conditioners and production equipment, installing additional solar panels, and increasing the proportion of green energy procurement, resulting in a year-on-year reduction in factory carbon emissions. These continuous improvement measures demonstrate that the company’s carbon reduction achievements are the result of long-term efforts rather than a single year’s performance.

This badge certification not only recognizes past achievements but also represents ATEC Group’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable path. In response to the global supply chain’s accelerated push toward net-zero, ATEC Group will continue to enhance energy management, improve process efficiency, accelerate equipment upgrades, and explore low-carbon production technologies. The company will collaborate with employees, supply chain partners, and society to contribute to Taoyuan’s and Taiwan’s net-zero goals, advancing toward a more competitive and sustainable enterprise.
