Yesterday (11/11), the medical face mask donation ceremony was hosted by ABC-ATEC Electronic Group in Yangmei Headquarter. This handover ceremony was chaired by Mr. Joseph Hsu, Chairman of ABC-ATEC Electronic Group. Our honorable guest, Ms. Sharon Ho, Representative of Malaysia Friendship and Trade Centre in Taiwan, was invited and witnessed in this donation and handover ceremony. Meanwhile, attendants included ABC’s Independent Director, Dr. & Prof. Wu, Sun-Tien (former Dean of the College of Law and Business, National Chung Hsing University), Board Director, Mrs. Terza C. Hsu, Mr. Francis Fan (President of ABC Taiwan Electronics Corp.) and colleague representatives.

Facing an extraordinary yet challenging year in 2020, the COVID-19 crisis has fundamentally changed people’s daily lives. Malaysian factory is one of mainly production factories of ABC-ATEC. When we received the news for extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO), we were concerned about the policemen and firemen, who are on the first line Rescue work in this virus crisis; hence we decided to donate face masks for their duties of medical assistance.

Even if a name-based rationing system for purchases of face masks launched in Taiwan, we indeed tried our best to collect medical masks which fully meet standard specifications, and also completed this tough task under a legal procedure. The medical mask is now being delivered to the relevant government agencies in Malaysia. For that, we are extremely grateful to all participants for their efforts to help this donation successfully.
