Yesterday(11/19), Joseph Hsu, Chairman of ABC-ATEC Electronic Group, as a sponsor,  was invited to attend the conference of Paper Presentations：The Future of Corporate Sustainability Forum Academic Perspective held by College of Business National Taipei University in 2020 3rd Global Corporate Sustainability Forum. The Distinguished Guest, Mr. Joseph Hsu addressed for this opening Forum. Such the grand global forum not only involves Chairman Hsu himself,  but also his wife, the Director & CSR Officer, Mrs. Terza C. Hsu, and CSR Specialist Sherry Wang, made a special appearance at this forum, and show that we are highly prioritized on CSR issue.

In 2019, Mr. Joseph Hsu, received NTPU 18th (2019) Outstanding Alumni Award because of his outstanding and successful achievement in business management. Apart from the support of future education and research development in NTPU, he also appreciated that NTPU provide outstanding teaching environment and abundant resource in enable him to apply what he had learned in the business field and expect that NTPU could cultivate more outstanding alumni in each field. Hence, since 2019, Mr. Hsu has sponsored the activities of Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF) held by College of Business National Taipei University to promote corporate sustainability and academic research.

The topic addressed by Chairman Joseph Hsu was mainly focus on “Corporate Sustainability and Creative Growth.” Fifty years ago, he was employed in TDK Corporation, and always upheld TDK Motto “Contribute to Culture and Industry through Creativity”, this Motto has been continuously deep cultivated within the ABC-ATEC Electronic Group. In 1979, the establishment of ABC Taiwan Electronic was group-funded by 10 supporters costing NT$3,000,000; that was the beginning of “ABC Group Entrepreneurship.” Over 41 years, even if we had experienced the frustrated markets and business obstacles, ABC-ATEC still upheld the original intention of Group Entrepreneurship, that we has grown together and developed a sustainable business for further personal achievement. This is ABC’s Core value “Personal achievement will be realized, while company reached its target, ABC means Satisfaction.” 

When ABC Taiwan went public in Taiwan OTC stock market in 2004, Chairman Hsu set the goal of going public as “to be evaluated by the investing general public and regards it as driving force for continuous growth, expecting the support of public markets to mark the turning of a new chapter. Since 1979, ABC concentrates on the research, development, and production of Inductors for the global market. The company embraces a concept - “Stem of humanist” which are the basis of Group Entrepreneurship, hold ”ABC means satisfactory” for core value, yet develop a world class company as our vision.

In the end of Mr. Hsu’s address, he concluded and emphasized the most important of social responsibility, “ABC-ATEC has grown continually from 5 people to 5 factories in 4 countries including Taiwan, China, Malaysia, the United States, and 11 AEPP partner factories, with a total workforce 3,500 employees. Those families have become my driving force of Sustainable development, and I will continue to live up my commitments and responsibility to those 3500 families and society.”
